Urgent medical attention for displaced Syrians
When we fast, we may feel their hunger, but we will not feel their pain.
Fasting does not feel different for communities residing in camps in the north of Syria: most families are already accustomed to one modest meal per day. One and a half million displaced people in the region desperately hope their next Ramadan won’t be so bleak. We launched this campaign because we want to make this a reality. This is an urgent call to help us secure the medical treatment costs for 1000 children, women, and elderly people in northern Syria.
What do they need?
Poor people do not need our sympathy – they need our charity to alleviate their suffering. Your donation will provide life-sustaining health assistance to displaced people so they can live dignified and healthy lives
When we’re sick, we intend to give charity, hoping that Allah may heal us. Why not provide that charity to treat some of the poorest and most vulnerable patients in the world? Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Treat your sick by means of charity.”
Health is all they possess!
Living in camps full of makeshift tents and shelters, many displaced people are left with only their health as a means to survive hardship. Thousands of children, mothers, pregnant women, and elderly people do not have access to appropriate health care, especially after the shutdown of many hospitals due to a lack of funding.
Your charity can have a greater impact than you think. Your charity may save a child’s life by providing medicine, offering a newborn baby a warm incubator, or saving a mother or a father who is the breadwinner of his/her family.
What have we provided so far? And what are we going to provide them with during next Ramadan?
Your donation will be delivered directly to them to cover the costs of their treatment, medicine, or surgeries. Your support may save a life.
How will we use your donation?
• Your donation of $10 can cover the treatment of two patients.
• Your donation of $50 can secure medicine for five patients.
• Your generous donation of $100 can cover the treatment costs for a patient in intensive care.
• Your donation of $150 can sponsor a specialized surgery for a patient in need.
• Your donation of $1000 means you will cover the treatment of 200 displaced people.
This campaign is a real opportunity to give your charity and Zakat to save the lives of people exhausted by war, displacement, and the pandemic and to show these communities that there are still people around the world who care.
